The CEWE PHOTOBOOK has won the European Photobook Award in the Photo category at the 2009 European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) awards.
Judges praised the CEWE PHOTOBOOK for its user friendly and intuitive software, its extensive range of editing tools and the Photobook’s high quality finish.
The ceremony, which was held on 19th August in Oldenburg, Germany, celebrates the best multi media products available in Europe. The EISA awards is a truly international event; 50 editor-in-chiefs from leading trade publications in 19 European countries meet each year to decide which products evaluated in their magazines deserve a coveted EISA Award.
Dr Rolf Hollander, CEO of CeWe Color Group is delighted with the result, and comments: “The EISA award follows on from our recent first place listing in tests conducted by the German Consumer Federation. Cewe Photo World Gets 5 Stars and a “Buy It!” award from Computer Act!ve.
Computer Act!ve, the UK’s best-selling computer magazine, has awarded our Cewe Photo World software 5 stars out of 5 as well as its coveted “Buy It!” award. The review in July’s Computer Act!ve centred around our “excellent quality” Cewe Photo Books and noted that our award winning software was “very easy to use”.

CeWe Photo Book Wins Top Photo and Imaging Award

May 2008 – The CeWe photo book has won the top award for photo and imaging at the 2008 TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) Awards. The CeWe Color photo book came first in the ‘Best Photo Service’ category at the awards dubbed as the ‘Oscar’ of the Photo and Imaging Industry.
To win the ‘Best Photo Service’’ group the photo book had to be the very best in its category, user friendly, offered smart solutions and was value for money. The awards announced on April 23rd were set up to highlight the best new photo products of the year.
The TIPA judges commented, “With its photo book concept, CeWe offers a complete solution for creating and ordering high quality photo books across Europe. Digital photos can be combined with backgrounds, text and page design, and the CeWe photo book software is free of charge and offers intuitive handling.”
The downloadable CeWe Photo World software allows users to easily sort their images chronologically, by event, file name or even colour and then choose from a large range of print sizes, or create photo books with their own unique layouts and designs.
CeWe Photo Books are available in four sizes and with various cover styles, including: faux leather; premium linen; hardback; and soft cover. Prices range from £5.99 for a photo booklet up to £34.95 for a hard back XL photo book.
Each nomination was scrutinised by TIPA members from the 1st May to 31st March.
