Fantastic clip-art ideas for your CeWe Photobooks

Before I even begin I can already hear some of you yelling “Clip-art? What is this - the early 1990s?!” But woah there people! Yes clip-art’s been around for a while, but with good designs and the Cewe Photobook skills of a ninja (even a first time, junior, trainee ninja) you can use our new, built in clip-arts to create amazing page layouts.

Fun clip-arts as themed text box decorations

To help blend an all important text box into your design try surrounding it with a few relevant pieces of clip-art. In this example we’ve added beach themed critters to our design; they perfectly fit the fun feel of the photographs and by carrying on the sea styling they help soften the square-ness of the textbox.


Using clip-arts to create your own backgrounds

Due to the great scalable nature of clip-art you can resize them to be absolutely ginormous. This ginormity makes them perfect for use as themed background elements. In this example we’ve simply made a nice pink background and then added on some super-sized baby theme clip-art. By moving them forwards and backgrounds in layer order you can also overlap them slightly with your photos – al together now… aarrrrrrr!



Adding those special, finishing touches with just a dab of clip-art

Although clip-art is inherently cartoony by nature, you can also use them as subtle and decorative elements as part of a more refined design. In this wedding Cewe Photobook example we’ve used ornamental clip-art to create decorative image borders. Just by overlaying these pieces of clip-art we’ve created lovely and fitting additions to the images.
